Sunil Shetty starred in many hit Hindi films like Mohra, Dilwale, Krishna, Hera Pheri, Sapoot and Bhai.
Shetty won a Filmfare Award for Best Villain in 2001 for the film Dhadkan.
Suniel Shetty commenced his film career with the film Balwaan with Divya Bharti in 1992. The film was a moderate success.
His next film Waqt Hamara Hai with Akshay Kumar, was also a success. Pehchaan in which he acted along with Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shirodkar and Madhoo also did well at the box office.
In 1994 in Anth, he paired with Somy Ali. Dilwale in which Ajay Devgan and Raveena Tandon were his costars became a success. It was followed by the blockbuster Mohra with Akshay Kumar.

He set up a production company called Popcorn Motion Pictures Ltd, which produced the films Khel – No Ordinary Game (2003), Rakht: What If You Can See the Future and Bhagam Bhag (2006).
