Sunny Deol born on 19 October 1956 is son of Dharmendra and became a star in his own right.
Sunny Deol learned from acting schools in England. Since he has won two National Film Awards,[5] as well as two Filmfare Awards.[6]
Deol's films Border (1997) and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) are Bollywood's super hits. His films Betaab (1983), Arjun (1985),Saltanat (1986), Paap Ki Duniya (1988), Tridev (1989), Ghayal (1990), Damini – Lightning (1993), Darr (1993), Jeet (1996), Ghatak: Lethal (1996), Ziddi (1997), Indian (2001), The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), Apne (2007), Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011), Singh Saab The Great (2013) are successful films. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, is credited as the most watched Bollywood movie in theatres (number of people who watched the movie).
He has won two National Film Awards for Ghayal and Damini and two Filmfare Awards also for Ghayal and Damini.
