Reena Roy (born 7 January 1957) was one of the popular Hindi film actresses.
B. R. Ishara's Zaroorat (1972) was her debut film. She was called the "Zaroorat Girl." Her lively performance in Jaise Ko Taisa (1973) with Jeetendra gave her more attention.
Kalicharan (1975), Subhash Ghai's directorial debut, and Shatrughan Sinha's early film as a hero became a big hit. Reena Roy and Shatrughan became a good on-screen pair and acted in several films together.
Nagin (1976) is a special film for her. Playing the title role of "female snake with mythological powers", she avenges the death of her lover by ruthlessly murdering five men. The film became a huge hit. She got the staus a top heroine. Rajkumar Kohli, cast Reena again in his next horror movie, Jaani Dushman (1979). Kohli-Roy combination gave hits Muqabla (1979), Badle Ki Aag (1982), and Raaj Tilak (1984). Reena Roy-Shatrughan Sinha gave Subhash Ghai another hit with Vishwanath (1978). Reena Roy also teamed up with Jeetendra in Badaltey Rishtey (1978) Pyaasa Sawan (1982) and big hits Apnapan (1977), Aasha (1980) and Arpan (1983).
In 1983, Reena Roy married Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan. Her last film as far as shooting is concerned was Inteha (1984). Her last releases was J.P. Dutta's Ghulami (1985).
